I found some information that makes me believe it is possible, but I am not finding anybody on the Windows side of things trying to do this. I have done some research and I am curious if it is possible to force the Intel USB 3.0 xHCI driver to use EHCI (USB2.0) for a specific port? But, now I have USB3 completely disabled in the BIOS. I've contacted the manufacturer and they suggested to disable USB3 alltogether. The control software can't communicate with it reliably. The device doesn't play nice with Win7's USB3 drivers. I also have a USB audio interface with its own control software. I have a DELL Latitude E6540 with Win7/64.
